Partners in Care

Foster Care Queensland are seeking for your input on better support for foster and kinship carers.

To hear directly from carers on the issues that affect them, the Queensland Government together with Foster Care Queensland are holding workshops across Queensland to discuss ideas to improve support for their role and build cooperation between carers, support agencies and child safety staff.

Workshops will take place in twelve locations including Rockhampton. There will be morning and evening sessions in each location. You can read more about the project, the schedule and where carers are able to register their attendance by visiting www.qld.gov.au/PartnersIncare and encourage you to promote this event and encourage carers in your agency to attend

Foster and kinship carers are very important in providing care and support to some of Queensland’s most vulnerable children and young people. Because we share a deep concern for the safety and welfare of children and young people in our care, we are inviting all foster and kinship carers to participate in the Partners in Care project.

As part of this project workshops are being held across Queensland to hear directly from carers and discuss ideas to continue to improve support for their role, and build cooperation between carers, support agencies and child safety staff.

The Rockhampton Workshop is being held Wednesday 14 June 2017
• 10am to 12.30pm
• 6pm to 8.30pm
