An NDIS Plan is a document which sets out the supports you will receive under the NDIS. It is divided into different funding categories, and shows the amount of money you can spend in each category. You can use these funds with a service provider, like AnglicareCQ, to receive supports paid for by the NDIS.
Once you have an NDIS Plan, you can decide where you will obtain your supports. You can get supports from more than one organisation, and you do not need to commit all of your NDIS funds immediately.
You many want some help in deciding what to do next. You have a few options:
- You can talk to a service provider like AnglicareCQ. This may be just a chat for a bit of advice, or by using a paid support in your plan (Support Connection or Support Coordination).
- You can talk to a Local Area Coordinator (or LAC) if they are up-and-running at your location.
- You can check out advice given at the NDIS website: www.ndis.gov.au.
