Anglicare Central Queensland is a non-government organisation, providing a range of services to individuals and communities throughout Central Queensland. The organisation is committed to the development of services, which are relevant and responsive to identified needs and enable communities to build and enhance positive community life.
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide counseling and support to individuals, young people and families who are subject to child protection interventions. Successful applicants will have sound experience in case management and client support, with a track record in the delivery of professional counseling, support, sensitive to the needs of a range of clients. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, together with tertiary qualifications and experience in a discipline relating to human services are mandatory requirements of this position.
The position is funded through Department of Communities, Child Safety to support individuals and families who are subject to child protection interventions. It aims to promote the safety and well being of children and young people by providing a range of services that contribute to the prevention of, and response to, concerns that may cause or lead to harm. Referrals from the Department of Communities, Child Safety are given priority, but referrals are accepted from individuals and community where the focus of intervention is to maintain or improve a current living arrangement for children and young people.
